Djogawa Djororx

From Bez Wiki

Djogawa Djororx (English: Dog Days, literally Entropic Days) is an ongoing webcomic by me, Robbie Cole. It takes place in El Fwonk Casanosia in 2067 AR, with a particular focus on the politics and issues in Sarbisi, a city on the northern coast of the Fwonnel Peninsula.

Plot

  • Chapter 1:
    • The entirety of Chapter 1 takes place on or around Zessis. It begins with Djaz Anori exploring the ruins of the Temple of Bez with his colleagues. The Temple had been destroyed in 2011 in the canonical parts of the events of EFC DnD: Season Two.
    • After Djaz’s encounter with the Sphinx Moth, the scene cuts to Dountic, “Bite Town.” Kira DeDoumo, Zan DeDoumo, and Tinit. They depart from the Dountic building for the Peninsular Naval Commission, of which Kira is the Dmacin, meaning she is among the second in command of the entire organization. Before they depart the port, Zan mentions the group’s intention on attending the annual Maritime Anti-Pirate Council. Instead, Zan and Tinit and up on an El Fwonk Navy ship through the Froof Straits on a course for the DeDoumo family home in Sarbisi.
    • Meanwhile, Kira has tracked down Djaz to a bar in a floating town on the southwesternmost corner of Zessis, presumably Kleodikum.
    • The final battle of Chapter 1 takes place after the Renegade Casanosians, led by Brazim, capture Zan and Tinit with the intent to ransom them, knowing of the DeDoumo family wealth and power. After the battle, the main characters continue their course to Sarbisi. Kira mentions that it’s been a long time since the Renegades had enough power to hijack even a single ship in the Froof Straits. Additionally, Ick falls, even though it’s the month of Pesjukex (basically January), when the Ick typically falls in Dakum (April-early May).
  • Chapter 2:
    • Chapter 2 begins with a day in late Pesjukex in the city of Sarbisi. Tinit takes Zan to school at the West Wall School. A camp of refugees from Zessis has accumulated in the city after the unexpected Ick fall. A Taxi Bug cart pulls in front of Zan and Tinit, pulling Ezli, a Wolf, supposedly on a Zoo tour after being captured from the Unorganized Territory. She is held in a newly-constructed exhibit at the Sarbisi Zoo.
    • Zan can’t sleep, so he sneaks out of his home high in the tower of the Sarbisi Peninsular Naval Commission to try and sneak some Night Chicken. A refugee girl asks Zan for some Night Chicken, and Zan decides that he has enough to afford some after pulling out his tin of Zenn, stating that a bucket of Night Chicken costs 40 Zenn and he can spare some, as he has at least 120 Zenn with him.
    • The next day at school, there is a field trip to the Zoo to see the Wolf. Along the way, Zan’s classmate Mara mentions a Sarbisi City Judge who just became a District Judge, and that 35% of El Fwonk Kxarkubuv were judges before being elected.
    • When Zan joins Djaz in attempting to take Ezli out of the Zoo, he mentions that there may be some kind of Wolf Language and that Ezli may know the key to the Nucletoid stuck in his glove, and that this pertains to the Ick somehow. When the hooded figure attacks Djaz during his escape, he uses a Sound Cannon to temporarily deafen everyone nearby and even shatter some windows.
    • That night, Zan still can’t sleep. He receives a book titled “How to Speak Wolf” from Djaz. Then, he visits his mother, Kira, in her room. She’s watching a documentary on the War of the Continent on her Television. The two have a tense conversation, where Kira proclaims that she thinks the Peninsula would have been better off if Sardiki Alka were able to remain in power in El Fwonk, as they quashed insurrection without hesitation.
  • Chapter 3:
    • Chapter 3 goes back in time by a week and shows that Brazim and his lieutenant survived the Ick-filled water. They wash up on a beach in southern Zessis, horribly mangled by Ick damage (Canonically this is the same beach where the group in EFC DnD: Season Two cut off Nashara’s head, preserve it, and put it on the exhaust of their boat).
