Fwonnel Peninsula

From Bez Wiki

The Fwonnel Peninsula (Arodjun: Kwareum djoFwonnou) is a geological region on Earth, located on the southwest coast of Menaiceraum. It is one of several new landmasses with no analog to Earth during the Human period.

Geography

The Fwonnel Peninsula juts out from the west side of Menaiceraum, south of the Kleo Peninsula and the island of Zessis.

It was formed rapidly from cataclysmic events that uplifted a chunk of the Earth’s crust, leaving a complex mix of sedimentary and igneous rock. Several fault lines created volcanic mountain ranges, ridges, and valleys. The most notable of these include the North Ridge, Krakerber Mountains, Barrier Mountains, and Death Canyon.

In terms of the ecosystem, the peninsula receives a summer monsoonal system, with rainfall being heavily dependent on rain shadows and seasonal changes in ocean currents temperatures. Some areas are outright desert, while wetter areas can be swamps in lowlands or alpine forests near mountaintops.

Polities

Several political entities have controlled parts or all of the Fwonnel Peninsula since the arrival of Cahilan peoples in the 3000s BR.
