Humans were the previous dominant species on Earth. They went extinct approximately 2 million years before 2067AR.

They created incredibly advanced technology and vanished rapidly. The technology they left behind was preserved due to large underground bunkers, along with various other megalithic structures and chemical preservation methods.

The Fwonnel Calendar, and the broader Sern Calendar used throughout Kratojjo, denotes year 1 to be the year the first human technology was made useful. This took place in Serndun and began the era of Rediscovery.
